Richa Baghel, a dedicated and diligent student, is currently pursuing her MPhil at a university in Rajasthan. Committed to her academic journey, she managed to pay the first-year tuition fee of INR 35,000 on her own – a remarkable feat given her circumstances. But beyond tuition, the everyday costs of living – room rent, meals, and essentials – have become overwhelming hurdles.
Her financial difficulties deepened after the sudden loss of her aunt, who had been her only source of support. Two years earlier, Richa also lost her father, and since then, she has had no financial backing from either her maternal or paternal relatives. With no one else to rely on, continuing her studies became an uphill battle.
Despite these challenges, Richa has not wavered in her commitment to her education. Her academic discipline and perseverance brought her to the doors of Diti Devika Foundation, seeking help not for luxuries, but for basic necessities – just enough to stay on her feet and in school.
Understanding her potential and the fragility of her situation, Diti Devika Foundation stepped in to ensure her academic journey would not be cut short. We now support her by covering her PG rent and food expenses, contributing INR 6,000 per month so she can continue her MPhil studies without the weight of financial distress.
