In the serene hill station of Palampur (Himachal), Kriti Kapoor is rising above hardship with the support of Diti Devika Foundation.
After losing her father, a clerk, three years ago, and with an illiterate mother and a meagre annual income of INR52,000, Kriti’s future looked uncertain.
But Kriti, a bright student, earned admission to Dr. Y.S. Parmar Government Medical College for MBBS. The foundation now covers her hostel fees of INR 35,000 per year, mess bills of INR 4,000 per month, and other essentials, including books and clothing. Our Foundation’s support has not only eased her financial stress but also strengthened her resolve to serve society through medicine.
Her elder sister, Akansha, pursuing her M.Sc. in Amritsar, is also being supported with a monthly assistance of INR3,000 for PG rent and food.
